I wholeheartedly apologise for the lack of updates for the past year. I've been working part-time AND doing a full-time degree course. On the upside, my part-time contract ends on the 30th of this month and my degree course is finished so I'll have plenty of time to update FintanMedia with a wealth of things that I've learnt over the past year - including PaperVision3D, a lot more ActionScript 3.0 (some of it getting pretty advanced), and some long-style projects such as building a game from scratch etc.
However! First of all on my list is a complete overhaul and re-design of this website. It's going to be fresh and exciting. I'm going to get rid of my Joomla content management system and build my own from scratch (Joomla was only a quick and easy interim solution anyway).
So, wish me good luck in this re-design and I hope you'll like it

So basically, I've finally installed a module that allows me to embed videos in the tutorial. Ben has added a few "finished product" style videos to his tutorials which work really well, they embed from his youtube channel. But I wonder how you'd feel about Fintan setting up it's own YouTube channel (or similar hosting) and making exclusive video tutorials? We could use Adobe Captivate to screencapture or something. It's up to you, the user to decide. Please add your thoughts to the poll alongside this post >>>>>>>>>> D |

I'm getting more and more impressed with our growth as a website - we've recorded a substantial increase in our website hits and website unique visitors and for that I thank you (the user) for your interest in what we offer and I would also like to thank the team for it's impressive work. We're into our second full month of activity now and we've reached 300 unique visitors - THANK YOU everyone! Ben and I really appreciate the support, and for all those users who keep coming back - I really appreciate it. We've gained quite a following for our tutorials and we will continue to grow and expand as much as possible. I'll be adding a suggestions form to the menu soon so anything you wish to help us with or help us improve you can say it there. We look forward to your continued support! Dan |
